one night in kaohsiung

And so we lost quite afew equipment. That was how continuous persistent bad sea state can be. Fortunately, for a large part of the exercise as well as the entire return journey, it was rather peaceful after all the donations of our black trash bags of regurgitated waste to Mother sea while enroute up north. Shore leave was great for the very few days and little precious hours i had, and the rest was spent doing duty. it was more of a makan sutra than anything else, and since i had reduced cash due to the treat in the expensive exquisite restaurant to the officers makan, i was careful with my spendings. However, the roadside stalls wasn't a problem and had me splurging on it. Interesting side note: there's at least a bubble tea stall every other street and it was included in the daily indented meals onboard. Food was of the essence, but soon it became too oily for my liking. i came and my stomach conquered; and what remaining money i had left was spent on clothes. sad, so i got a chinese mathematics book to read since i'll be studying maths soon, but i was conned as the book thus far is dumb primary school tricks. i only got food back as souvenirs as there wasn't any solid materials for gift massing. hope ya guys like it! =)

So, it was another level up for my training, but the focus isn't exactly there. i am not training to become a spec o, but the opportunities were too enticing. clocking 100 hours of bridge watch in a month is cool stuff only because i'm looking back on it now. other interesting events to highlight are the cocktail onboard Endeavour, where there were taiwanese female midshipman to talk to. besides that, there was also 'jia cai' lunch, where an insanely pro guy downed a huge fishbowl of beer in one gulp, although he spilt 1/4 of it towards the end. and by command veto, victory's crew were ordered to coerce me to drink until i lie flat, in which they were very successful as the odds were 60 - 1. sigh~ And the list goes on... ... while back in tuas, i am the last on the list in 188 to get my COC, tragic! i guess i do suck after all huh...

ronnie. what happened in kaohsiung, remains in kaohsiung.
