mini olympics

it really feels like the As are over, or rather, it had never started... ... perhaps its just me slacking too much that it doesn't seem like a major exam is taking place. well, the week has been a slack one and we witnessed people jumping for joy to celebrate the start of their holidays. i would have jumped, but the people around me still had the exams, including me. it'll be ironic when the fmaths people shout only to hear the few echoes in the hall after our paper2 tomorrow afternoon. worse still will be the s paper students, but its cool to OWN the hall by a small bunch of people.

yesterday was a total celebration, as usual, as halim, kumar, daryl and i went to firdaus' house for lunch. the nasi briani was YUM! and so were the other cookies and delights. the greatness of a simple fare is indeed amazing, but that was only the beginning of the day. we took pics at fir's magnificent house, a definite jaw-dropper if you enter it =) slacked and played the guitar with dey, and ferrero roche was all over the place. wahahah! next up, i ran to meet up with jin and ryan, where we adjourned to suntec city convention hall 6 for WCG. OMG! it was rather crowded, and i saw 4k.Grubby in person!!!!!!!!!! wOOt! li xiaofeng aka SKYCN won frozen throne using humans, and his match was very entertaining. human mirror matchup, and lightning ward cheese. Gh3Y!!! there were CS, and many other games played, all of which were a marvel to watch. met up with Ho too, but left them to meet up with andy, ralph, zhiyang and glenn first for dinner. we were later joined by dar, xun and huangeng, and dined at long john silver at marina square. treated glenn as we celebrated his birthday, and chilling out with them was just splendid. we then went to asteroids, as inspired by WCG, and played CS. lol. i totally suck at it now since i haven't played for 3years++. oh well, left katong first with xun as we headed home on bus 10 reminiscing the past. heh

a good day it was, but my A levels isn't over yet. haha. well, woke up this morning to go to an annual buddhist funfair at alijunid. this year, unlike the other years, we had $300 in tickets to spend, but i was only given $50. oh well, i took the lead and went on a shopping spree for food! i almost patronised each stall lah, and bought lunch to eat there, and many snacks, cookies and dried food to bring back home. i felt rich, and it seemed like the money cannot be finished as i went round after rounds continuously. my parents obviously were at a loss with the remaining $250, so i took another $50 and squandered it away on random stuffs. people have retail therapy at shopping malls, but with burnt pockets whereas the frenzy i was indulging in didn't even hurt as we had free tickets given by friends who donated the money for charity but didn't go to the fair. i guess if life after the A levels is similar to what i'm enjoying now, i would enjoy it fuller with a lighter heart and have no papers lingering at the back of my mind. =) "yay! the papers are over already!" *to be said in 3 days time* gg
