random stuff

its a pity nobody likes baseball. sigh~ oh well, guess the majority, if not all except genius junjie, is studying. i've finally gotten down to hitting the books, like sayuki reloaded and some "spastic child writing a dog murder mystery" book. quite cool lah, my hats off to the author! =) alright, i'll be serious and say that i have almost completed fmaths and am now left with chem, after 3 days of practise. yea, go figure, doing chem for 2-3 weeks but not covering much, and is now left with bio-chem. well, 25% prepared if ya do the calculations, because never and not intending to do ANYTHING for c maths, c maths 's', fmaths pure maths and gp. i'm like so dead, gg!

well, i guess nobody frequents my blog because there are no taggers, i am boring, and things which i pen down with effort are of no interest to anyone. this is good because nobody will then catch me if i happened to say anything wrong, and i like privacy, so quad erat demonstrandum, people don't like me because i am not stressed and not slogging my guts out, instead am here blogging. this is alright because strangers are weird, but it doesn't matter if i pass by alot of grey cars in a day because that'll make it a super good day. btw, thanks marcus, you rock! =)

monty hall problem: (if you like logic and feel intellectually challenged, go figure)
in a game show, there are 3 doors, in which behind 1 door is the prize of a car. you are asked to select 1 door, then the gameshow host will open one of the remaining 2 doors which you did not choose and does not show the car. then you will have an option to switch your choice, you either stick with the door you originally chose or change to the remaining door which is still closed. so what is the probability of choosing the correct door with the car behind it if you had chosen to switch doors?
intuition might lead one to think its half, but the answer is two-thirds. enjoy! =)

chicago champs finally

the white sox bagged the world series for the first time in 88 years after they thrashed houston astros 4-0 with their splendid display of defence and offence in the best of 7 series. unlikely heroes pitch hitter geoff blum and willie harris sealed the sweet victory with the winning run in game 3 and the only run in the top 8th in game 4 respectively. blum homered in the 14th inning in game 3 to give the white sox a 7-5 victory in the longest ball game ever played in world history (5hrs 41mins). harris singled, but was brought home by MVP jermaine dye's base hit after podsednik's sacrifise bunt. personally, i like joe crede the 3rd baseman for his superb defence double play and his ability to hit homeruns. such good stuff are worth staying up till 3am for =) kudos to baseball!

ball game

baseball; the best game ever. interesting commentry, great atheltism, mind games accompanied by cool weird actions. homers are fun and skilled, brings back fond memories... ... =) slider, changeup, curve, sinker, you name it.

and just when you least expected it, paul konerko(14) hits a grandslam for the chicago white sox. woot! AND podsednik added icing to the cake as he homered in bottom 9 for the win 7-6. i swear baseball is the most exciting, enthralling, lengthy, intellectually challenging game in the whole wideworld!

blown away

it seems like eons when i visited the jetty, and sure the wind sent me off my feet. with each torrential breeze, the cool air surged stronger and tried to strip me. and sure it was successful, as it cleared stress and what not lingering around me. it was blowing me away, yet i was yearning to stay, heh... such a cool experience; the best so far yet. the future is set, that is my probable bet.

interesting how all the good stuff grows as the big As approaches. =)

puzzles

sudoku is gay! but if we move deeper, it would be science versus religion. sensitive topics, yeah, but it remains a mystery. perhaps that is why faith arises! =) fasting hastens the clarity of thought, one aspect which is coming back, you know and feel it. this might be where dualism takes place, as one alone may not be able to decipher

that damn big

as the crowd presents the true side of singaporeans, hot air spiralled through the tense air as the tatoo man sharpened his knife, ready to carve his 43kg stingray treasure catch. omg! it was that damn big... but my mj security guard khaki continued his little but massive fishing spree. =)

there no more

the existance slowly slithers and goes unnoticed as the impressions fade. one's most memorable youth; schooling has never seem so fun. unwilling as the heart is, time aches me with its neverending flow. dry eyes stared into space and savoured the surroundings, and for once, the breaking ball was so hard to hit. things are different from it once were, changes amass and a journey enriched. destination in sight, the heart relents, detesting the present and self. an undoubtedly new chapter we all will face, but the deepest inscriptions has been made. with clarity i speak, i get up through old ways, promises made and resillience built. the people - probably the most impactful turn in my entire life - has shaped and open new doors in the theory of ideas. thank you every single one of you in meridian! =)

interesting how i just realised that holiness is obtained through darkness, or do we put forth our sufferings in such drastic vision? logic can never overcome the physical deficiencies, or do we believe? thankful for aged, sickness and death, and experience of the hunger for the enhanced treasure.

2 weeks left, i think i should start studying, anybody who hasn't started like me wanna join? heh

a vampire's date

All is lost. everything's back, done and accounted for. there is no turning back, and 4 weeks doesn't seem to cause any sign of trepidation. so i did awful, and true was the notion that the more effort put in results in a lower mark. such results seemingly making monkey faces at me; totally literally. so i'll suffer mockery and humiliation for getting APE, i mean ABE: no brainer what the corresponding subjects are. so much too say, so much to do, yet i squander my time playing lame games such as miniclip, yahoo and popcap. i can't believe i spent like 20+ hours on them this entire week. no wonder no time to study... sianz =( then came s paper, and screw it. can't even get an A, furthermore being thrashed by someone whose loudness from his mouth is directly proportional to his marks. just today, i was again being thrashed by fmaths mock exam taken from hwa chong. the papers are on a rampage, with not less than a monster kill. maybe i'll make a resolution to not slack or spend time unwisely (eg. miniclips), or perhaps not. lol! Oh well, the logic transcended to teenagers are falling way off the regression line, thanks to motion pictures. perhaps that is why GP grades are declining. we were unsurprisingly pwned by chem again, but fmaths people were pwned by maths c people in c maths. yes, we aren't that great, no wait, only i am lousy. yes, i deserved to be scolded, some other people too, but its the wrong target audience because some geniuses score so well but they didn't study.

enough of prelims, here comes the exciting part. I watched finished "My date with a vampire 3"!!! chao nice, but quite lame still... well, the wonders of television. improved my cantonese and can finally put my mind at ease during the A levels. the other divertion is here, which will halt sooner or later, or perhaps not depending on intellect. its scary how SO MANY PEOPLE are MUGGING! omg people, what are you guys doing? the spirits' commendable, but not the method. refine the techniques, if not the results will prove correct. nvm. Finally, i got to go to bedok jetty. its cool to see the contrast of nature; matter and antimatter, good and evil, yin and yang, angels and demons. however in particular here, there was a streak of light beaming ferociously down the line of symmetry where i carefully chose the greenwich meridian. to the right was the rather bleak and alittle dark sea and its coasts, and to the left was the vast shimmering ocean. so i had sat down and tasted the essence incorporated in life's building blocks.miraculously, a sense of inner tranquilty set in, totally savouring the moment. with that, i search for stuck. the soul particles can be felt, as feelings will last forever as opposed to memories. then, with wings spread apart came a seagull soaring in the sky. that impression sent me drifting towards envy, inspiring the true essence of 'soaring'. thou hast delight in one's dreams thus far, and nowst should repay thy debt in interest, for he shall be a sucker thereafter.
