VA - LO
and i ended my last paper with a fever whilst doing it.. screwed.
the past week has been extremely interesting! cycled back SAFELY from NUS to dar's house, talked cork till past midnight then headed home. reporting to changi on wed for my first day for LO duties, and bang kang at 11am, though i was drenched all over. wOOt! caught a movie with dar, glenn and xun thereafter and hung out. went for Victory Nav Makan at swissotel merchant court, and the buffet was SweeT! caught up with the nav guys and was updated with lotsa juicy news from the ship. =) seems like victory's doing just fine!
thurs was more hectic, coming in earlier and escorting the officers for ship's visit to Endurance and Intrepid. thereafter, visited SAFTI after ages of not being there and watching the new batch of MIDS who are about to commission. headed back for a reception on the thai ship, which served surprisingly good food and finally headed out to clarke quay to bring the thai guys around for a drink at brewerks, then to MOS. made some good friends with them, and learnt quite alot about their culture. bang kang at 2am this time, but i guess it was fun! =)
fri was more informal, as i met the thai guys outside at the royal china at raffles hotel for lunch, then headed home for a rest. was called out to dinner with the new victory officers at Goodwood Park Hotel, but with many familiar faces. yes, and since i owed CO a favour for pulling me back to Victory, i chipped in the share of CHIAing at the inexpensive shima restaurant. the food was excellent though! headed back to clarke quay again to meet the thai officers yet again for the last time, and bid our farewells over a round of drinks.
visited hongwei on sat and had dinner with his family! thanks alot for the present and everything! chatting with your family was fun.. =)
*crosses fingers* to go back to victory on monday! =)
